Today is Veterans Day, that's how I could stay over at Irene's house. So yeah, no school for me today. I went with Irene and her aunt to a shopping centre during the day. I bought earrings from Wet Seal and a smoothie from McD. They dropped me off at home around 1:30 and since then I've been planning christmas gifts and how to ship them, watching Lost and Midsomer Murders. I introduced Midsomer Murders to Yvonne yesterday and apparently she has been watching it all night yesterday and all day today, haha. So thanks to my mom that introduced me to it!

 

I just got done changing my sheets and cleaning my room. I've also looked at what trips I want to do with EF and I've decided to go on trips to Grand Prix Racetrack, Brian Head Ski Trip, Los Angeles - Hollywood and Grand Canyon. So now I know how much money I need to save from my savings and how much I can spend, haha. But I neeeeed to save a lot of money for the LA trip.

 

Tomorrow it's school again. I still have homework for tomorrow and it's already 9pm and I haven't even started... GOOD JOB EMMA! And I need to get my hair done, cause it looks like a mess. It feels like I have so much stuff to do. And next week it's Thanksgiving. Really excited about that!

hi, again, or for the third time actually. im making up for not blogging for a long time. well, i thought i was gonna lay in my bed and watch svenska hollywood fruar all night. and then marissa came into my room and asked if i wanted to go to starbucks. DUH! OF COURSE! and im totally in love with the peppermint latte. i hope espresso house has something like that so that you can experience a half-good version, hihi. STARBUCKS<333 but now im gonna continue with my SHF marathon.

 

oh, and two other things im in love with. having my hair in a donut on top of my head + my hm sweatshirt that i bought last weekend. LOVE. i feel weird today. BYE.

 

 

do you say that in english? glasses-worm? worm-glasses? glass-worm? i have noooo idea. but whatever. im a glasögon-orm right now with my PJ-pants and my sweden shirt on. ive been laying in bed 95% of the day just watching shows on tv3play (svenska hollywood fruar, efterlyst, stalker etc) and im loving every second of it. gunilla person is soooooo out of her mind, gosh. i feel really sorry for her kid, just saying. i guess i cant really say anything about being a bad mom since im not a mom, but i know that shes not a good mom. sure, she loves her daughter more than everything and gives her opportunities (?) and stuff, but the kids mind is going to be effed when shes older. well, well, i need to continue watching it now. byyyyye.

just had an almost 3 hour long skype sesh with my mom and sister. and sorry about the bad update. don't really have any motivation or inpiration to write anything. this week we didn't have school on tuesday because of the election. GO OBAMA. I'm so happy that I chose to go here on an election year. it's been really interesting, especially the day after the election. all the mormons at the school were pissed, like really mad. but yeah. GO OBAMA! so on tuesday, marissa, yvonne and I drove around vegas shopping. I bought PJ pants and a shirt. and i also had like 3 burritos that day, haha. i'll miss del taco sooooo much when i go back home.

 

and i haven't been feeling really good this week so i haven't really been doing anything special. just school, home, pills and sleep. but i'm starting to feel better now so that's good. but yesterday evening i went to Kata's (Finland) with Ida (Norway) and made some peanutbutter/reese's/chocolatechip cookies. SOOOO YUMMY! so yeah, that's today's breakfast, haha. I tend to always have something unhealthy for breakfast when i'm skyping, haha. yolo. no, just kidding. but i think i'm losing weight so that needs to be celebrated with some cookies. i don't know if we're gonna do anything special today. maybe i'll go out and run later. we'll see.

But whatever. I'm still starting to like my life here more and more, and it feels really good. I don't really think about stuff from back home anymore. Finally! And gosh. Next month it's Christmas and a new year starts. And then, it's suddenly my birthday (17, YAY). And then, like 2 months after my birthday, it's spring break and my mom and my sister is coming here. Everything is going by really fast. Don't really know if that's a good thing or bad thing. Right now it's a bad thing I think, cause now I really like it here. 

 

Now I don't feel like writing anymore. Puss.

Woke up at 5am and couldnt go back to sleep so I put on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It was the english verison so that sucked. But I watched it for an hour or so and played some wordfeud with mom then I went back to sleep for an hour and woke up at 7. Watched the end of the movie (yes, the movie is like 2,5 hours long, haha) and then I figured that they had changed the time during the night so it was actually 8. So I opened up my computer and organized all my pictures, deleted some and stared at some, haha. At like 10, I went up and had some breakfast and then I went into the showurrrr. When I was done I got ready for the day. At 12.30-ish, Louise (the mom in the Swedish family I know in Henderson) picked me up and we went to the SWEA-meeting. The SWEA group is a group of Swedish people here in Vegas and it was so weird to hear Swedish and be able to speak in Swedish to everybody in the house, reeeaaaally weird. But we planned a little bit for the Luciatåg we're gonna do on December 8th. We sang christmas/lucia songs and had kanelbullar, ballerina, pepparkakor and other yummy Swedish stuff. And yeah I had to write that in Swedish. I'm just awesome like that.

Had a reeeeaaaaally good day today. Had three test (the only bad part about the day) but I think I did good on two of them, but I'll know the results on Monday so we'll see. In spanish we had out Día de los muertos, which is like the mexicans halloween. They celebrate the dead ones and make altars for them filled with food, candles, flowers and other stuff to remind about the dead one. I was in a group with seven others and we made our altar about one of the girls in my group, Brittany. And we all had a lot of fun. AND!! I got red cups (!!!) and mexican candy with me home! I'll post a picture of our beautiful altar further down.

 

Then after school, Irene (Spain) and I went down to the Strip for some shopping!!!!!! Bought shoes, a shirt, a sweatshirt, a necklace, lipbalm and a tanktop (I'll post pictures). And gooosh! I love the Strip! And gooosh! Irene is so härlig! We also had a coffee at Starbucks and I had the beeeest thing ever, Peppermint Latte<33333333.

This is my life right now: sleep, eat, school, homework, eat, sleep. Every single day, except for the weekends. I have soooo much homework for tomorrow, and I'm so tired so I just want to sleeeeeep. Hate this sooo much (homework). I have three tests tomorrow. And because I went home from school on Tuesday, had proficiencys all day yesterday, I don't know a crap. If there's like a math genius out there that's reading this, please help me!

Being sick in school here and go home from school is such a big deal here. In Sweden you can just kinda go home, and ask your parents to call the school and tell them. Well, here it's a really big deal. First, you have to get a hallway pass to go to the nurse. When you're at the nurse's, you have to tell them how you feel, what you want to do and why. Then you have to sign in and write like student #, time you got in, why you're going home and so on. And then, you can't even go home. Nope. You have to call someone to come and get you. If no one can come and get you, bad luck. Then you have to go back to class. But yeah. Yvonne is always easy to get a hold of so she came and picked me up from school. When we got home, Yvonne took Marissa to her dental appointment. So I went to bed and watched some TV. Then I played some wordfeud with my mom. And then, Yvonne called me and asked if I wanted a burger from In&Out but I was feeling so disgusted with everything so no burger for me. But she also told me to take some orange pill-thingies. So I got up and took them. Then I went back to bed and continued wordfeuding with mom. Then the pills kicked in. I got sooooo tired. So I said goodnight to mom and fell asleep. Woke up 4 hours later, still tired. I watched some Sex and the City and then Yvonne and Marissa got home so I got up and did some homework. 

 

I need to get better. Tomorrow I need to take the junior proficiency tests, even though they told me I didn't have to (sigh). And then on Friday, Tia (USA), Irene (Spain) and I are going down to the Strip for some shopping. Now I need to eat something. Halloween tomorrow, yay.i

Yesterday was great! I went down to the Strip around 6pm and met up with the other exchange students. We walked around a little bit and I bought a pair of shorts at Urban Outfitters. I'll put up a picture of them! Then we got picked up by Izel (an IEC) and she took us to the Circus Circus hotel where the Fright Dome is. We paid our tickets and went in and it was sooooo scary. There was dressed up people walking around scaring us. And when we went into one of the haunted houses (Camp Massacre), Alexandra and I were walking around by ourselves because nobody wanted to wait for us. And there was like three ghostthingies that were walking behind us all the time. And I was freaked out and started screaming stuff in swedish, haha.

 

We got picked up around 11.30 and went to Izel and Don's house (IECs) where I stayed over. Then in the morning they we're going to drop off the kids from Moapa Valley and then go to a zoo, but I was so tired so I stayed. Then I got picked up by my IEC, Katie, and went to her house. Stayed there for two hours or something and then Katie took me home.

 

And I'm getting homesick again so now I'm crying, eating candy and watching Sex and the City. Bye.

The day started with a three hour Skype session with mom, sister, grandma and grandpa. I was with them when they had dinner and we just talked about everything so that felt really good. Then I had swedish pancakes with lingonsylt for breakfast<33333. When I was done eating I put my running gear on and went out for a jog. My workout today was 5 min warmup and 45 min slow jogging. Felt really good. The. When I got home and stopped running, my legs were like spaghetti, haha. Now I'm watching Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 2. The clock is about 2pm and around 5:30pm something I'm going down to the strip to meet up with the other exchange student. We're going to fright dome! And I'm already freaking out a little bit about it, haha. Now I'm gonna take a powernap, then shower, then get ready for tonight and and then off to the strip! Byyye!

This is a chill Friday. Been sleeping until now (9:58). Think I'm gonna go out and run in the afternoon. Yesterday was very nice. We watched Saw (the last one) and jackass 3. So now I'm not thinking so much about paranormal activity anymore and that feels soooooooooo nice. SEX AND THE CITY JUST STARTED, GOTTA GO!
